You Know Something Needs to Change
Maybe you look like you have it all together on the outside, but internally you feel:
- Constantly anxious or on edge
- Caught in cycles of overthinking
- Controlled by a fear or a phobia
- Driven by perfectionism or self-criticism
- Unable to fully relax, even when things are going well
- Stuck in patterns you understand but can't seem to change
- Affected by past experiences that still feel emotionally present
- Frustrated that you've done the work but don't feel much different
You may understand your patterns intellectually, but that doesn't always mean you know how to change them.
How EMDR Therapy Can Help
EMDR isn't only for processing major traumatic events. It can also help address the experiences underlying anxiety, fear, perfectionism, and patterns that continue to affect your life.
Anxiety & Overthinking
When your mind is constantly scanning for what could go wrong, it can be difficult to feel present or at ease.
EMDR can help address the experiences and beliefs that may be contributing to persistent anxiety and worry.
Fear & Phobias
Sometimes you know logically that you're safe, but your body reacts as though you're in danger.
EMDR can help you work through specific fears, phobias, and experiences that continue to trigger a strong fear response.
Perfectionism & Self-Criticism
You may have learned that being successful, useful, productive, or “good enough” requires constantly pushing yourself.
Together, we can explore what is underneath those patterns and work toward a more grounded relationship with yourself.
Patterns That Keep Repeating
You may recognize the same patterns in your relationships, work, decisions, or emotional responses—even when you consciously want something different.
EMDR can help you process the experiences that may be keeping those patterns in place.
Past. Present. Future.
EMDR isn't only about what happened in the past.
The goal isn't simply to understand what happened to you.
It's to help you feel more grounded in your present and more confident about your future.
EMDR may be a good fit if:
- You are curious about why you respond the way you do.
- You've gained insight but still feel stuck.
- You're ready to look beneath the surface of your symptoms.
- You're willing to notice emotions and sensations in your body.
- You want to participate in your healing actively.
- You're tired of managing the same patterns over and over.
- You want meaningful change—not simply another place to talk about your problems.
You don't have to know exactly what needs to change before you begin.
You just need to be open to exploring what might be underneath it.
Meet Angela
I'm Angela Fruhner, an EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist. My background in clinical health psychology, nutrition, trauma therapy, and EMDR allows me to take an integrative approach that considers the connection between your experiences, emotions, thoughts, and body.
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you understand what's happening, make sense of the patterns you're experiencing, and create the conditions for meaningful change.
I don't believe therapy should be about endlessly analyzing what's wrong with you.
It's about helping you understand yourself with compassion—and giving you the opportunity to experience something different.
What if you could feel different?
You don't have to spend the rest of your life managing the same anxiety, fear, or patterns.
If you've gained insight but still feel stuck, you may be ready for a different approach.
Let's talk about what you're experiencing and whether working together feels like the right fit.
Virtual EMDR therapy for adults throughout Washington State.
